Children's E-Picture Books: Can They Help Children Learn to Read?

For the Libraries 2.011 Conference
November 10, 2011 |

On November 3, 2011, Lisa Guernsey gave a talk about e-books at Libraries 2.011, a virtual international conference that attracted thousands of educators, librarians and instructional technology specialists from around the world. Her presentation was an extension of an article she wrote for School Library Journal in June 2011, "Are E-Books Any Good?," which showcased several projects that are investigating whether children's e-books can help with the teaching of reading.

An archived recording of the webinar session is available here and Guernsey's slides are available here and at the column to the right.
